Voter Turnout in North Side Wards is Just Over 50 Percent

By Samantha Abernethy | Wednesday, November 3, 2010

Well, after months of political ads and polls and pundits, the midterm election is over. About 50 percent of our neighbors turned out to the polls, which is comparable to voter turnout across the city at 50.8 percent. The numbers below were taken from the Chicago Board of Elections website. They are preliminary and do not include provisional and absentee ballots. You can see more details on here.

The Chicago Tribune has all the results from yesterday’s election on their elections site.

Almost 60% turnout.!The alderman might be in trouble – Claypool only got 53% of the vote in the ward. So either the 47th Ward Organization laid down for Berrios or maybe there is an internal conflict. Either way, it looks like people aren’t buying the old-school politicking and are thinking for themselves. If Lisa Madigan runs for Mayor then Schulter might be in real trouble. Berrios and Speaker Madigan may mobilize their troops in the ward. It doesn’t look good…maybe the ward is ready for a change.

If these two posts aren’t a concern troll, they do a good job of looking like one.

If they are a concern troll, the poster didn’t do a good enough job of hiding that.
