Have you ever daydreamed about setting up your own stand at a farmers market? Here’s your chance, and the beauty is, you don’t need to plant or harvest a single crop.

Blue Sky Bakery & Cafe (3720 N. Lincoln), which provides job training for homeless and at-risk youth, sells its freshly baked pastries at the Wicker Park and Printers Row farmers markets.

Volunteers are needed to work alongside youth, helping with customer service, cash transactions and spreading the word about Blue Sky.

Email Blue Sky if you are interested. Volunteers are asked to commit to four consecutive two-hour shifts (schedule below).

You should contact the local high schools to implement this into their Service Learning Hours program and the students could volunteer and also gain this wonderful experience!
