According to notices posted around the Lincoln Square farmer’s market, the Tuesday afternoon Thursday evening market, operated by the Lincoln Square Chamber of Commerce, has been extended through November 22. The Thursday Tuesday market, at the corner Lincoln and Leland Avenues, has its last day next week, on October 27.

The original Tuesday Thursday market, started in 2010, was to run May through September, but was extended a month last year and now for a second whole month again.

Yep. It’s pretty popular, isn’t it?

I think this is backwards. I had contacted the Alderman’s office about this and received an email stating that “the Tuesday morning market (not the Thursday afternoon one) has been extended until the Tuesday before thanksgiving.”

So I think it is the Tuesday market (which is larger and has more produce) has been extended, but the Thursday market has not.
