Wednesday night at 7:00 p.m. is the last summer concert of the season at the Northcenter Town Square, 4100 N. Damen Ave. Tonight’s band, J.T. and The Clouds will play a set of their blues and folk inflected music before heading over to play at Shuba’s later in the evening. The Tribune said they play, “just plain beautiful music, beautifully played and presented with heart and soul.”
As has become his custom, Northcenter Chamber Exec. Dir. Garrett FitzGerald is promising a gourmet meal to early attendees. Tonight: Curry Goat and grilled plantains.
On Sunday night in Manor Park, 4626 N. Manor Ave., the Horner Park Advisory Council will host a double header with Bossa Tres’ Brazilian music at 5:00 p.m. and then the Midwest Young Artists at 7:00 p.m.
And we just have to preview this: Next Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. in the Welles Park Gazebo will be Cobalt and the Hired Guns, a Chicago band that’s just dying to break through. Listen to their single, “You left your sweater,” and you’ll believe.
