St. Matthias Transfiguration School, 2310 W. Ainslie St., had more than over 300 students on their first day of school for the first time in over twenty years, according to a press release from the school.

The K-8 Roman Catholic parochial school started classes yesterday with 25 iPads and new laptops in classrooms throughout the school.

“We are proud to offer more neighborhood children an innovative and individualized educational experience through a supportive and loving community,” said Principal Sandria Morten in the release.
