Chicago Police are reporting a 36 year-old man was shot in the face on the 2100 W. Fletcher block last night around 11:15 p.m. The victim was driving eastbound when another driver shot him from a passing white pickup truck.
The victim is in stable condition at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center and no suspects are in custody. The police are continuing their investigation.
The neighborhood, which has suffered a wave of gang graffiti in recent months, saw a similar shooting just around the corner on the 3000 N. Hoyne block last October. A Police spokesperson said there was no known gang connection to the crime, “at this time.”
