Chicago Public Schools are back in session on Tuesday, September 6, while many Catholic schools are back to school this week and next week. With the neediest kids in mind, Ald. Ameya Pawar (47th) and the Northcenter Chamber are sponsoring school supply drives.
Needed supplies include boxes of pens, boxes of pencils, notebooks, flash drives, hand sanitizer, kleenex, crayons, colored pencils, glue or glue sticks, erasers, scissors or safety scissors, highlighters, pocket folders and basic 10-key calculators.
You can drop off supplies at Ald. Pawar’s office 4243 N. Lincoln Avenue, during business hours no later than Friday, August 26 at 5:00 p.m. or at at The UPS Store, 4064 N. Lincoln Ave. between 9:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. Monday-Friday or 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Saturday anytime before August 31.
