The Roscoe Village Neighbors Association is revamping its website and its approach to business.
“Not only the functionality, but also the look and feel of RVN,” said Lisa Wilkins, RVN president. “We want to really embrace social media, and bring RVN a little bit more into this century.”
“We hope to have this redesign wrapped up by April, but since I come from the technology space, I am well aware that the timeline is fluid,” said Wilkins, who used to work for Microsoft and MapQuest.
RVN is also working to revamp some elements of Retro on Roscoe‘s financial management.
“Retro was not as profitable this year as it has been in previous years, mostly due to the rain we had most of the day Sunday,” said Wilkins.
“We are in the process of putting together a formal grant donation process,” she said. “Historically, organizations who wanted us to donate money would ask us very informally. This year, we are going to have a specific procedure in place, complete with a full accounting of how the money was spent.”
