Right on the heels of the discussion of creating a dog park in Horner Park, a Ravenswood group is looking into creating a dog area in Winnemac Park.

Led by dog owner Walter Brody, the group of about thirty people have been organizing to create a dog area in Winnemac or some other public space in the Ravenswood area.

“We’re really open to suggestions now,” says Brody. “If there was a good place, we’d love to hear about it and look at it.”

Brody says he’s contacted Ald. Ameya Pawar (47th) who has expressed an open mind to the idea.

“We’re not necessarily wedded to the idea of having the dog park in Winnemac Park,” says Brody. “It would be ideal, of course, and there’s plenty of room.”

Neighbors interested in organizing to create a dog park should contact Brody at northravenswooddogpark@gmail.com.
