Rail Tie Fell From Western Brown Line Stop On Saturday

A rail tie from the CTA Brown Line fell from the Western Ave. stop and narrowly missed a passing car on Saturday, NBC Chicago reports.

The wooden tie came was part of a maintenance walkway along the elevated tracks, according to a CTA spokesperson.

NBC Chicago has pictures of the tie and the narrowly missed victim.
