Protesters gathered outside Illinois Senate President John Cullerton’s Lincoln Square office on Saturday to protest the senate’s passing of the Illinois Dream Act, which creates a scholarship program for students with at least one immigrant parent, legal or illegal.

There were about 15 protesters in the rain outside the 47th ward office at 4237 N. Lincoln Ave., Cullerton’s constituent office. The protest was organized by the Illinois Patriot Connection, a group of tea party, 912 and patriot political groups.

We received notice through a release posted on the Illinois Patriot Connection website. The link in is our story, above. It seems, however, that IPC has taken the release down.
