You’ve heard the horror stories about the college application process. Fear not, Chicago parents: You’ve already navigated CPS and its unwieldy system, so you are nothing if not battle ready.

To get a further leg up on the competition, attend Parent University, July 18, 9 a.m. to noon, at Amundsen High School, 5110 N. Damen Ave. The program is sponsored by the North-Northwest High School Network and being promoted by Friends of Amundsen.

The agenda includes presentations on finding the right college for your student, how to pay for college, and making sure your student is college-ready. CPS college and career coaches will be on hand to help walk parents through the selection and application process.

For more information, call 773-534-1104 and ask for Taheria Brown or Jane Norton.
