Snowmageddon, Snowpocalypse, snoMG, tsnownami, blizzaster… apparently a storm is on its way. Here is some information you may want to keep in mind as the flakes start to fall.

  • If you know a senior citizen and are concerned about him or her, you can contact the city to request a senior well-being check by calling call 312-744-4016, or by submitting a form online.
  • If your heat goes out, call 311 for city help. Your landlord or property manager is required to maintain a temperature of 68 degrees from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. and of 66 degrees from 10:30 p.m. to 8:30 a.m.
  • When shoveling snow, clear the area around trash bins to assist in trash removal and around fire hydrants. And never shovel snow into the street.
