Police have charged a man for the December sexual assault of a woman in Lakeview, the Chicago Sun-Times reports.
Twenty-year-old Tyrone Maxwell, of the 1300 block of West Gladys, was linked to the crime with DNA evidence, police say.
Police issued an alert on Dec. 23, looking for a man who allegedly pushed a woman into an alley where he battered and sexually assaulted her. she had been walking home from the El, but police did not say which stop.
Maxwell was pulled from Cook County Jail Thursday, where he had been jailed for a parole violation.
He was charged with four counts of aggravated criminal sexual assault, one count of aggravated kidnapping and one count of aggravated robbery.
