The 2010 Guinness Oyster Festival in Roscoe Village was on Saturday, Sept. 18. Though the day started out rainy, things dried up by early afternoon, and the place was packed by dark.
Two stages framed the festival that blocked off Roscoe Street between Damen and Bell. Vendor booths lined the street, and folks chowed down on a variety of oysters and other foods. A lot of families brought kids and dogs in the afternoon, but later the long lines moved from the petting zoo to the Guinness vendors.
Twelve bands played throughout the day, and there were plenty of people dancing by the end of the night, as North side locals Tom Schraeder & His Ego closed out the evening.
