Boy, for being “Underemployed,” the cast of MTV’s new, Chicago-set scripted series sure do get around. Earlier this month, the production shot scenes at Martyr’s, as well as locations in Wicker Park, Lincoln Park and River North. Now they’ve set their sites on Lakeview: Look for camera crews at Uncommon Ground (3800 N. Clark St.), Wunder’s Cemetery (3963 N. Clark St.) and 3834 N. Alta Vista Terrace.

Rich Moskol of the Chicago Film Office describes the premise of Underemployed as “five friends who all graduated from college with great degrees and can’t get good jobs.” The pilot shot in Chicago last year and was picked up by MTV as a regular series; episodes have yet to air. He expects the production to continue filming around town through Aug. 10.

The Lakeview shoot is scheduled to run from 11 p.m., Sunday, July 22, through 11 p.m., Monday, July 23. Expect the following parking restrictions:

  • Clark Street – Grace to Byron (both sides)
  • Magnolia – Grace to Waveland (both sides)
  • Racine – Grace to Byron (east side)
  • Byron – Seminary to Alta Vista (both sides)
  • Seminary – Byron to Dakin (west side)
  • Five spots in front of 3834 N. Alta Vista Terrace
  • Ten spots in front of 3914 N. Clark
