I haven’t shopped a moving sale since the time I paid $15 for a used canning jar. (Got an overpriced condo you’d like to unload? Call me.) But Bleeding Heart’s rummage sale has me intrigued. I’ve always wanted my own bakery display case, preferably fully stocked with cookies and cupcakes. If you’re similarly inclined, here’s your chance to get your hands on various and sundry pieces of restaurant equipment, like the aforementioned display case. Sans baked goods, of course.
To check out the merchandise, which includes smaller and quirkier items, head to Bleeding Heart Bakery, 1955 W. Belmont Ave., today from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
The sale precedes Bleeding Heart’s planned kitchen operations move to its new shop on Chicago Avenue. Before you have a heart attack, the Roscoe Village location isn’t closing. Although the Belmont shop will no longer serve as BHB’s headquarters, it’s still your connection for vegan cake balls.
“I want $5 for every time I answer that question from now on,” co-owner Michelle Garcia posted to Nervous Nellies on Facebook.
