Word from the Chicago Film Office is that a commercial will be shooting in Lincoln Square Sept. 23-24, creating a number of temporary parking tow zones. Giddings Plaza will also be a closed set. (Um, did anyone tell the pigeons?)

To make way for production equipment and vehicles, “no parking” signs will take effect, Sunday and Monday, 6 p.m. – 7 a.m.:

  • East side of Western Avenue, from 4725 N. Western Ave. to Lawrence Avenue.
  • North side of Giddings, from Oakley Avenue to the alley at 2310 W. Giddings St.
  • East side of Oakley, between Lawrence and Giddings.
  • Ten spaces north and south of Giddings Plaza on the east side of Lincoln Avenue (approximately 4718 – 4749 N. Lincoln Ave.); 7 p.m. – 7 a.m.

During the shoot, residents can also expect intermittent street closures on Lincoln Avenue between Lawrence and Leland.

No word on the subject of the commercial, which is being shot by Chicago-based Norman Brothers Production Co. Check out some of their previous work here.
