Ron and Camille Psenka, who came to the aid of a young woman being assaulted in the alley behind their home, have already been thanked by the victim. Now the Cook County Board is expressing its gratitude.
Toni Preckwinkle, president of the Cook County Board, and John Fritchey, Cook County Board commissioner, introduced a resolution at today’s board proceedings in honor of the Psenkas and their actions.
The resolution states in part: “All too often in such situations, it may seem that the easiest and safest choice is to do nothing; as such, we are especially grateful that Mr. and Mrs. Psenka felt compelled to assist a stranger in need, and in so doing, displayed the good that can result when we call on the best in our humanity.”
