The Lincoln Square Chamber of Commerce held its annual meeting at the Chicago Brauhaus, 4732 N. Lincoln Ave., last Tuesday to discuss plans for the upcoming year, including a new summer festival, and elect new board members.

Executive Director Melissa Flynn touted the group’s recent three-star accreditation by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce as a signifier of quality work, but the big news was Flynn’s announcement that the Chamber is working to launch a new summer festival in the Lincoln Square, July 28 – 29. Flynn was not forthcoming with further details.

Two new board members were elected to the Chamber: Darby Putman, a partner at Fountainhead, and Mike Collins of 3 Tree Marketing. Jason Kraus, of Brezicrew Development, was elected to his first term as president of the Chamber.

The full board includes:

  • Anne Merritt, Perfect Cup, Treasurer
  • Kristine Kueck, Reihn Insurance
  • Rich Forsythe, Ruff Haus Pets
  • Mary Kay Phillips, MB Financial
  • George Fink, Piggy Toes
  • Tracy Kellner, Provenance Food & Wine
  • Eric Delli Bovi, Old Town School of Folk Music
  • Julie Liska, Liska Architects
