The Lincoln Square Chamber of Commerce held its annual meeting at the Chicago Brauhaus, 4732 N. Lincoln Ave., last Tuesday to discuss plans for the upcoming year, including a new summer festival, and elect new board members.
Executive Director Melissa Flynn touted the group’s recent three-star accreditation by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce as a signifier of quality work, but the big news was Flynn’s announcement that the Chamber is working to launch a new summer festival in the Lincoln Square, July 28 – 29. Flynn was not forthcoming with further details.
Two new board members were elected to the Chamber: Darby Putman, a partner at Fountainhead, and Mike Collins of 3 Tree Marketing. Jason Kraus, of Brezicrew Development, was elected to his first term as president of the Chamber.
