What they lack in space, urban gardeners make up for in creativity. The Lillstreet Gallery, 4401 N. Ravenswood Ave., is looking to showcase that ingenuity in an upcoming exhibit, Art and the Urban Garden, and is currently seeking submissions from area artisans.

Whether you craft one-of-a-kind pots, planters, garden sculptures, bird feeders/houses/baths or outdoor furniture, Lillstreet is looking for works that will inspire others to re-imagine the potential for their urban plot.

Entries should include a brief description of the work and images of the proposed submission (complete guidelines are available online). Email to Jess Mott Wickstrom by Feb. 20.
