Rides! Games! Food! Music! It’s impossible to get too excited about a carnival. A carnival!

Now in its 64th year, the Neighborhood Boys & Girls Club annual Family Fest & Carnival (2501 W. Irving Park Rd.) never gets old. The festivities get underway tonight, 6 – 11 p.m., featuring unlimited rides for $17 and an alumni reunion. The good times keep rolling through Sunday, July 1; purchase a Megapass for $55 and receive unlimited rides for the fest’s entire five-day run. The complete lineup of events includes live music, a petting zoo, raffle and ride specials.

The Family Fest & Carnival is NBGC’s largest fundraiser of the year, supporting programming for the 1,500 children and youth who participate in the club’s various activities, many of which are offered for free. NBGC is also in the midst of an 80th anniversary capital campaign, aiming to raise $750,000 toward building renovations and programming expansion.
