The proposed accelerated middle school program at Lane Tech High School is open for fall applications.
Chicago Breaking News reports that the academic center is expected to go before the full CPS board for a vote Wednesday.
The academic center would provide an accelerated curriculum to qualified seventh- and eighth-grade students.
Lane Tech Principal Antoinette LoBosco spoke with Roscoe View Journal earlier this month about the plans for the program. Supporters have been circulating petitions to drum up community support for the project.
