With fall in full swing and Halloween right around the corner, there’s more than a few things coming up in the next few weeks to get seasonal and spooky!
Halloween events are free unless otherwise specified.
Jahn School Pumpkin Patch – From 10:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 21, the Jahn World Language School will host its second annual Pumpkin Patch on the school’s playground. It will feature a book drive, live music, face painting, arts and crafts, seasonal food and pumpkins for sale. There will also be a raffle drawing to win gift cards to local businesses. $3 per family. A $5 donation will include a free pumpkin.
Wired Wednesday Wine Tasting - For adults, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Oct. 24, the Lakeview Chamber of Commerce is holding its annual Wired Wednesday Wine Tasting at WineStyles, 1433 W. Belmont Ave. The event is free for Lakeview Chamber members and their guests, $10 for non-members.
Paulina Station Merchants Trick or Treat - On Oct. 27 between 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m., the Lakeview Chamber of Commerce hosts the 13th annual event outside the Paulina Brown Line Station between 3300 and 3400 N. Lincoln and Paulina Avenues.
Hamlin Park Halloween Party – The Hamlin Park Advisory Council is hosting a Halloween Party on Saturday, October 27th from 2:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. in the large gym at the Hamlin Park Fieldhouse. The party includes entertainment, arts/crafts, Halloween candy and more! A $10 donation per family is suggested. RSVP to email@example.com or for more information
14th Annual Halloween Parade and Party - On Oct. 28, the Roscoe Village Neighbors hosts the annual bonanza from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. This year the two events are being combined for the first time with the party to be held in the street. The party will feature dancing, costume contests and photo vignettes. The parade, which runs from Roscoe and Oakley to Roscoe and Damen, will feature the Lane Tech High School Marching Band.
Trick or Treat on Southport - Also on Oct. 28, the Lakeview Chamber of Commerce is hosting this event from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. Trick or treating will be held between Roscoe and Irving Park while a pumpkin party will be held between Grace and Byron. Pumpkin decorating, moon jumps, Smarty Pants balloon artistry, face painting, games and prizes will be featured. There is a suggested donation of $5 per child.
