The Horner Park Advisory Council intends to produce its 17th season of free summer concerts in Ravenswood Manor Park and Horner Park, says board member John O’Connell.

Preliminary plans call for the first show to be Sunday, June 12 at 7 PM at Ravenswood Manor Park. The rough plan is for concerts at Ravenswood Manor in June and August and at Horner in July.

There will be some mixing of Sundays and Fridays and a movie Horner along with one of the concert evenings. More details, including the season calendar and artists, will be finalized in the next few weeks.

The next HPAC board meeting is next Monday, Jan. 10 at 7 p.m., at the Horner Park Field House at 2741 W. Montrose Ave.

The board plans to address the change in officers for the 2010-12 term, discuss a Chicago River bank restoration project, the under-bridge path connector planned for Irving Park, and a memorial to a neighborhood fallen police officer.

There is also a celebratory luncheon this Saturday at noon, at Murphy’s Irish Bistro, for a Eagle Scout who headed the memorial project.
