For everyone who wants to make dinner, without having to actually, you know, make dinner, we’ve got great news for you. Chicago-based HomeMade Pizza, which has popularized the bake-at-home pie, is coming to Lincoln Square. They do all the prep work; you pop it in the oven and take all the credit.
The company confirmed it has taken over the space at 4603 N. Lincoln (previously incarnated as Jack Rabbit). Grand opening festivities are slated for Nov. 30- Dec. 2; details are still forthcoming, but free pizza samples are a good bet.
Founded in 1997, HomeMade now boasts nearly 20 stores in the Chicago area (including nearby 3420 N. Southport and a new Gold Coast location set to debut mid-October) and has expanded into Minnesota and Washington, D.C., as well. The company has built its reputation on using all-natural ingredients and incorporating locally-sourced cheese, meat and produce when possible, which may be one reason why Oprah Winfrey featured HomeMade’s unique pies as part of her “Best Pizza in America” special.
