Members of the Greater Rockwell Organization (GRO) will meet next Tuesday, May 3 to discuss support of proposed zoning variances requested for the building at 2525 W. Lawrence Ave.
Horizon Realty Group is proposing to convert the three long-shuttered commercial spaces on the first floor into apartment space and to add two floors to the current seven four-story and one garden level building. Horizon plans to keep the building at the current 42 units, but make the existing units larger.
GRO has draft schematics of the building layout and further details of the project from an April 5 presentation made to GRO by Horizon representatives.
Tuesday’s meeting will also include a presentation from Everyblock.com’s Chicago community representative, Becca Martin.
The meeting will be held at 7:30 p.m. at Luther Memorial Church, 2500 W. Wilson Ave. All interested neighbors are invited to attend.
