More than a few folks treat their pets like children, so why not an Easter egg hunt for dogs. On Saturday, April 7, 10 a.m. – noon, the Horner Park Advisory Council is hosting a Doggie Egg Hunt behind the fieldhouse, 2741 W. Montrose Ave. Cost is $5.
A highlight of the event is sure to be the Doggie Spring Bonnet Parade–we hear poodles have been primping for weeks–and, for an additional fee, Fido can have his photo taken with the Easter Bunny.
The Horner Park Advisory Council is also looking for volunteers to join a committee that’s working on developing a concept for a dog-friendly area in the park. If interested, contact the council through its website.
