A pair of town hall meetings are set for the next few days to discuss proposed Chicago city budget changes, including library cuts and the 19th Police District merger.
Tonight Ald. Ameya Pawar is hosting a budget town hall at McPherson Elementary School, 4728 N. Wolcott St. and Chicago Library Commissioner Mary Dempsey at 6:30 p.m. to discuss the proposed library and other aspects of the Chicago budget.
Next Monday, November 7 at 6:00 p.m., the Ravenswood Community Council is hosting a “Public Safety Community Meeting” with Ald. Ameya Pawar (47th) and Chicago Police Commissioner Garry McCarthy at the Sultzer Regional Library, 4455 N. Lincoln Ave. to discuss the proposed 19th and 23rd District merger.
