Breaking: Possible Jumper On Montrose Bridge – UPDATED

The Chicago Fire Department SCUBA team is on site at the Montrose Ave. bridge to respond to what witnesses report as a possible bridge jumper.

UPDATED (12:54 p.m.): A neighbor reports seeing a bloody man jump from a second floor window of Kindred Hospital on Maplewood Ave and then run towards the river.

(12:58 p.m.) The man is holding on the edge of the bridge and talking to police.

(1:19 p.m.) Traffic is closed on Montrose Ave. between Maplewood and California Aves.

(5:31 p.m.) Chicago Police reports that the man was taken into custody and taken back to Kindred hospital at 3:09 p.m.
