Bike Tour of Northcenter This Sunday

By Mike Fourcher | Monday, April 25, 2011

Perhaps it seems silly to jump on a bike just to check out your own neighborhood, but Lee Diamond’s Neighborhood Bike Tours are a cut above the rest. Diamond’s tour of Northcenter on Sunday is a good opportunity to haul your bike out of winter storage and flex your leg muscles.

Meeting at 1 p.m. Sunday in Revere Park, 2509 W. Irving Park Rd. Diamond charges $10 for a four- to six-hour leisurely tour of 12 to 18 miles through a different neighborhood every few weeks.

“These are rides that will teach you a side of the city you will never see anywhere else, whether you are visiting for the weekend, or a life-long resident,” claims Diamond.

When not biking around the city, Diamond is a Realtor for Big Shoulders Realty. The neighborhood bike tours is an interesting service Big Shoulders offers to its clients so they can get to know the city a bit better.

You can RSVP for the tour through Chainlink.
