What To Do For Halloween In Center Square

The spooky day is just around the corner and we’ve been working to gather up news on events in the area. Did we miss something? Tell us and we’ll add it here. Also: When is your block sponsoring trick or treat? Sunday the 30th or Monday the 31st? Tell us in the comments and we’ll pass the word.

Saturday and Sunday, October 23 & 24, multiple times – Circus In The Park, Chase Park, 4701 N. Ashland Ave. – It’s not spooky, but it is cool. Magical performances by the Midnight Circus, featuring clowns, acrobats, aerialists, a dog, and more!

Saturday, October 29, 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. – Trick or Treat and Costume Contest, Lincoln Avenue from Montrose Ave. to Irving Park Rd. – Trick or treat local businesses and costume contests for age groups 3 and under, 4 – 9, and 10 and older.

Saturday, October 29, 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. – Halloween Happenings, Lincoln Avenue between Wilson and Lawrence and Rockwell St. near the Brown Line stop. – A wide array of face paintings, trick or treating, special performances and costume contests.

Saturday, October 29, Noon to 3:00 p.m. – Ruff Haus Annual Pet Costume Contest, 4652 N. Rockwell Ave. – Prizes for the best costume, adoptable dogs, refreshments.

Sunday, October 30, 4:00 p.m. – Pet Costume Parade, starts at the corner of Grace and Leavitt - Continues down Grace to Lincoln, and then follows Lincoln north to Town Square at Belle Plaine and Lincoln.
