Tonight’s Summer Concert in Town Square, sponsored by the Northcenter Chamber of Commerce and featuring Megitza Quartet, has been cancelled due to impending showers and thundestorms. The next concert is scheduled for July 7 and will feature Jon Spiegel’s Kleztones (4100 N. Damen Ave).

Ald. Richard F. Mell (33rd) informed residents that today (starting at 3 p.m.) and tomorrow (ending at 11:59 p.m.), there’s no parking on certain streets in the ward to facilitate the production of a movie:

Both sides of Montrose from Christiana to Kedzie.
Both sides of Sawyer from Cullom to 4420 Sawyer.
Both sides of Sunnyside from Troy to Kedzie.
Both sides of Spaulding from Montrose to Pensacola.

This Saturday, June 26, Ald. Eugene Schulter (47th) is sponsoring an Electronics Collection Event. Put your unwanted electronics on the sidewalk before 8 a.m., and trucks will sweep through the ward to pick them up. Until noon, you can also bring your electronics (computers, laptops, printers, TVs, VCRs, cell phones, video equipment, etc.) to the 47th Ward Streets and Sanitation Yard at 4141 N. Rockwell St.
