Over 3,500 Athletes In Ravenswood Run 5K

Over 3,500 people registered to run in this morning’s Fleet Feet Ravenswood Run 5K. James Akita won the race with an official race time of 15:07, while Heather Prekop won the women’s division with a time of 17:35.

Runners reported that the race was well organized and well paced. “There were no bottlenecks in the race. They did a really good job,” said runner Paige Worthy.

Outgoing Ald. Eugene Schulter (47th) said a few words of thanks to the runners, while Ald. Elect Ameya Pawar ran in the race.
