It may lack the glamor of Newt vs. Mitt, but Audubon Elementary, 3500 N. Hoyne Ave., is hosting a candidate forum of arguably equal importance to its constituents (and one likely to be far more civil): Meet the finalists bidding to become Audubon’s next principal.

The Principal Selection Committee (PSC) invites members of the community to attend and submit questions in advance by Feb. 22 to principalselection@gmail.com. Six questions will be chosen and posed to each candidate. A meet and greet with the finalists will follow the forum. Attendees will have the opportunity to submit written comments about the finalists to the PSC.

The forum is scheduled for Feb. 27, 6:30 p.m., in the school’s auditorium.

Also on Feb. 27, Jahn World Language School, 3149 N. Wolcott Ave., will share its vision for future progress with the Hamlin Park Neighbors Association, including reports on new programs and partnerships as well as general information about the elementary. All interested residents are welcome to attend the meeting at New Life, 2958 N. Damen Ave., 7 p.m.
