Next week I will begin work as the Production Manager at Journatic, a growing young company disrupting the way news is provided. In my absence, our superior editor at Brown Line Media, Patty Wetli, has agreed to step up her writing and and editing work for Center Square Journal and Roscoe View Journal. Kathy Chapman, our sales director, has also agreed to continue her great work. I will remain publisher, but in a greatly reduced role as I focus my energies on Journatic.
We, and by that I mean our team at Brown Line Media and you, our readers, have built something special here. Together we have improved our community, highlighted the good and bad and started discussion where sometimes none existed. Our team at Brown Line Media is committed to keeping that going.
I am joining Journatic because I believe they are improving the way people get the news they want. The procedures of newsgathering have barely changed since Benjamin Franklin published the Pennsylvania Gazette. Journatic is providing news organizations with a whole new set of newsgathering tools that are simple yet revolutionary. That is too exciting a transformation for me to pass up.
I am disappointed that I will have fewer opportunities to meet you and talk to you. Meeting and writing about you has made me believe there is no better place to live in the world.
Thank you for your readership and support these two years. Please welcome Patty and Kathy in the comments here as they keep the fires burning.
