A Call For Writers!

By Mike Fourcher | Friday, January 29, 2010

We’ve been busy writing about all kinds of things here at CenterSquareLedger, now we’d like to invite you to join us.

If you love Lincoln Square, Northcenter or Ravenswood Manor and you want to write about it, drop us a line. If you’re a writer and you think you’ve got some gritty tales of the neighborhood you want to tell, drop us a line. If you’ve been to a dozen restaurants and you want to write about them, please drop us a line.

You don’t have to be a pro, but you do need to be able to write, spell, and know how grammar works. It helps if you know how to write a lede, but it isn’t essential. It helps if you live in the neighborhood, but it isn’t essential.?Before you become a regular writer, we’ll ask you to write some sample stories.

Sample topics? We need restaurant reviews. Good ones. We love profiles of “people you should know”. Inside scoop on a real estate development or neighborhood issue is always good – but more facts and less dish.

And no, we’re not offering pay. After we get paid, we’ll start thinking about everyone else. Them’s the brakes.

So, please get in touch!

You’re a funny guy, Michael. I’ll never reveal if it was intentional or not.

Your sense of humor needs to be on our front page!
