Chicago Restaurant Week is billed as a city-wide event, but who does the Convention & Tourism Bureau think they’re fooling, with participating restaurants heavily concentrated around downtown hotels. You know, where conventioneers and tourists tend to congregate.
For a more neighborhood-oriented version, check out Dine Roscoe Village 2012.
Running through Feb. 26, the event celebrates the diverse dining scene in Roscoe Village, with numerous restaurants offering either prix fixe menus or daily specials. Deals range from free soup with sandwich or salad at Kitsch’n to a three-course prix fixe $23 offering from Volo, with a $12 wine flight pairing. Tourists not on the menu.
