The temperatures have dipped below freezing and the first snowflakes have fallen. Yep, it’s winter all right. And just in time for Winterfest.
The event, free and open to the public, kicks off Saturday, Dec. 4, at 5 p.m., with a tree lighting ceremony at Nohea Café, 2142 W. Roscoe. Ald. Scott Waguespack will be on hand to do the honors. Afterwards, enjoy late-night shopping and dining at neighborhood boutiques and restaurants.
Sunday afternoon features a variety of children’s activities, trolley rides, horse drawn sleigh, carolers and more (psst…we hear Santa might make an appearance).
