Broken computer? Busted radio? Outdated VCR? Electronic items shouldn’t just be dropped in the dumpster.

Well this Saturday is recycling day int he 44th ward. Drop your retired electronics out on the curb in front of your house by 8 a.m. on Saturday, May 21. The items will be taken to the city’s recycling center for proper disposal. Televisions will not be accepted at this time.

Also, collect your paper documents, especially those with sensitive material, and drop them off at the St. Joseph Hospital’s parking lot at Surf and Sheridan, where a big shredding truck will be available 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday.

If you have questions about what is and isn’t recyclable, contact Mark Cygan at 773-525-6034.
