We will be selling fresh, nursery grown plants as well as perennials dug from members’ yards. This year we’re including more native plants and heirloom vegetables. Herbs, hanging baskets, ferns, perennials and annuals for containers will be available at reasonable prices. We also will have a small selection of pots and potting soil if buyers want help potting up their purchases on the spot. As always, expert advice will be available from our members working at the sale. Delicious home baked treats and beverages will be for sale by church members, too. The sale is rain or shine.

The 2012 Summer Wine Tasting will be held at Fine Wine Brokers, 4621 N. Lincoln Avenue. Come sample 50+ wines and other beverages, as well as enjoy some appetizers. While you are tasting away, you will also have the chance to walk away with some great prizes from the raffle and silent auction.

So come out for a great evening that benefits the Common Pantry, Chicago’s oldest continuously run food pantry. The Common Pantry provides food to those in need with Wednesday distribution sessions and monthly Producemobile offering.
